POSITION SUMMARY  *(Clinical Supervision for licensure available)
Provides direct clinical crisis intervention, assessment, case management and referrals of high-risk population. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provides crisis assessment and referral, crisis face-to-face, short-term individual therapy.
• Works alongside Crisis Outreach Case Manager in providing mobile response to crisis behavioral health calls to conduct a comprehensive assessment including risk assessment, crisis intervention, recommending the appropriate level of care, and providing resources and referrals. Mobile response is provided via phone, tele-video conferencing, or face to face in the community as appropriate.
• Serves as crisis clinician for crisis calls, crisis face-to-face, and crisis assessments. 
• Provide mobile response to area hospitals to assess for suicide risk and other safety related concerns, assess to include making least restrictive level of care recommendations and facilitate hospitalization placement if appropriate.
• Provides outreach in the community to individuals identified in need of support, linkage to services, monitoring, or crisis management.
• Provides care coordination with hospitals and other treatment providers. 
• Collaborates with agency leaders in implementing the Zero Suicide initiative at Beacon and assists with providing support to Enhanced Care Pathway. 
• Works alongside treatment team to ensure consumer and family engagement in services. 
• Collaborates with community partners to build relationships to support needs of high-risk population. 
• Completes clinical documentation in AVATAR within 72 hours of service provided which clearly reflect interventions provided and necessity of those interventions. 
• Maintains knowledge of agency technology programs and/or systems needed to do the job and uses them effectively
• Maintains required training and certifications
• Other duties and/or responsibilities may be assigned by supervisor


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Education/Certifications:
  • Master’s Degree required
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Valid Driver’s license and state mandated minimum auto insurance required. 
Experience Required:
  • 2-3 years of position-related experience required.

Required Knowledge:
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Prior mental health and/or substance use knowledge required.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices in behavioral health and Trauma Informed Care practices. 
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, terminology, diagnoses, and best practice knowledge required.
  • Prior healthcare technology software experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to drive to various locations locally as needed.
